Our final exhibition will be held at in a
space at Allerton Building, on Salford University Campus. This is the first
time we have seen the space, and it looks like a lot needs to be done. The
walls are bare, and the green carpet cannot be pulled up. We need to work as a
team to create a good space for our work, meaning we need to come in and
prepare and paint the walls.
For space, we have initially been given 1
meter of space, smaller than we first anticipated. But we need to work with
what we have, and the decisions will be made on hand in day. We may need to
make sacrifices to allow everyone’s work to go up on the walls.
The space, once finished, will look professional
and inviting to guess who visit the exhibition.
The images below show the work me and the group had done, we had given the small room to the left the first coat, and the rest of the room the second coat. The paint was patchy while it was drying, but over all I think the colour will work well with everyones individual images, style and frames, as it is quite neutral. Once the wall in the middle of the room is put up, we should have enough space for everyone to display how they want, and if not we will have to make those decisions when we come to them. Over all, I think the space will work well, and I look forward to putting up my work.
