I wanted to look
more into the meaning behind some of the words writing in the statements by the
girls, when I asked them about make up and beauty. I want know more into the
emotions, and how they feel about themselves. Ultimately I want my work to make
people think about how they feel about their own appearance, and hope that they
realise that make up may make them feel different about themselves, and that may be good or bad. I want
people, specifically young girls, to feel confident about how they look, and
understand how make up can transform someone, both on the outside and the
inside. I want girls to understand that make up doesn't change who they are, it may just enhance them, or make them feel better about them selves, which isn't a bad thing.
Confident - feeling or showing confidence in oneself or one's abilities or qualities.
Ready - in a suitable state for an action or situation; fully prepared.
Awake - stop sleeping; wake from sleep.
Happy - feeling or showing pleasure or contentment, fortunate and convenient.
Cover - put something on top of or in front of (something) in order to protect or conceal it.
